MIMI : Touched our hearts
Another movie which dropped this week and touched our hearts is MIMI…though technically it may not be a great movie but important point is it does make you think and your heart goes out to the protagonist…not giving out a spoiler, as it is there in the trailer the movie deals with surrogacy…and it has become an industry in INDIA producing babies for foreign nationals and domestic parents….
MIMI gets it right as far as the Emotional Quotient is concerned….and the one actor who stand out as always is Pankaj Tripathi who is so natural both in emotional sequences as well as comic….
MIMI boasts of a strong ensemble caste comprising of Sai Tamhankar, Manoj Pahwa, Supriya Pathak all do a good job…. Kriti Sanon who plays the titular role gives a sincere performance… this being her first heroine oriented movie she does a good job….
The direction by Laxman Utekar is good as it keeps you invested throughout the movie which is no mean task for a movie in OTT platform….Again I admit my review is an assessment as an audience….MIMI kept me invested and was heartwarming and at the end gave a smile….
